POOL TWO 1983 is an analog photo collage created as a composite panoramic contact print from color negatives, printed on chromogenic paper. It was shot underwater with a Nikonos II.

UNTITLED DIPTYCH 1986 is part of a series of simple two-frame panoramas shot in 1986-88. Photographed with an Olympus OM-1 with a specially filed out back to eliminate the spacing between frames on the film. Each diptych is shot ‘live’ in the camera. Photographed with long exposures using a flash, to create a frozen/motion painterly effect, using color negative film enlarged onto Chromogenic paper.

BODY BUILDER SKETCH 1992 is an analog photo collage made from 1-Hour Photo prints. It is a preparatory sketch for Body Builder, which was created for Polygram Records and eventually published by Money Magazine in 1992.

HELLGATE 1996 is an analog composite panoramic photo collage shot on Ilford X-P1 film, and printed on chromogenic color paper as a large contact print. The shifting color tones are created under the enlarger with stencils and colored gels. Shot with my trusty Olympus OM-1 which I had specially filed out by the esteemed Marty Forscher of Professional Camera Repair in NYC, to eliminate the spacing in between frames. It is four section of the Hellgate Bridge in Queens, NY.

CHIHULY STUDY 2017 is a digital panorama shot with an iPhone 6 and finished in Photoshop. Photographed at the Chihuly Exhibition at the New York Botanical Garden, Bronx NY.

FORBES SKETCH 1991 is an analog photo collage shot on color negative film and assembled from 1-Hour Photo prints. It is a preliminary sketch for Poolside With Bush, part of a series of parody artworks representing then POTUS George H. W. Bush, commissioned by Forbes Magazine / Isley Design, and published in 1991. I was asked to parody the photo style of David Hockney (it’s a long story… stay tuned!) For the sketch and the final art, I used family members, cousins and friends as models, including my father as George(!)

TUBA RECITAL PROMO 1988 is an analog strip panorama made from color negative film shot with an OM-1 and printed onto chromogenic paper, which was fashioned into a continuous Möbius strip objet d’art. It is a rendering of the 25th Annual Merry Tuba Christmas at Rockefeller Center. I created it as a holiday promotion piece which I mailed to clients in 1988. It won an award for self-promotion and appeared in HOW magazine in 1989.
