PICCADILLY 1988
PICCADILLY 1988

PICCADILLY 1988 is an analog composite panoramic contact print depicting a transition from day to night in Piccadilly Circus, London, England. It is made from color negatives shot with an Olympus OM-1, which I had specially filed out by Marty Forscher of Professional Camera Repair in NYC, to eliminate the spacing in between frames.  Acetate stencils and gels were used under the enlarger during the exposure to adjust tone and color, in a time before Photoshop. Photographed for Condé Nast Traveler Magazine in 1988. For similar images see Early Collage.
