PICCADILLY 1988 is an analog composite panoramic contact print depicting a transition from day to night in Piccadilly Circus, London, England. It is made from color negatives shot with an Olympus OM-1, which I had specially filed out by Marty Forscher of Professional Camera Repair in NYC, to eliminate the spacing in between frames. Acetate stencils and gels were used under the enlarger during the exposure to adjust tone and color, in a time before Photoshop. Photographed for Condé Nast Traveler Magazine in 1988. HOUSTON CAMH 1983 is an analog photo collage created as a composite panoramic contact print from color negatives, on chromogenic paper. One of the early images in this series depicting app. 180 x 180 degrees, it is made from 54 35MM exposures. The location is the exterior of the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston TX. The sculpture here is: “Manila Palm: An Oasis Secret,” by artist Mel Chin.
